Daily Politics 2003

Daily Politics is a British television show launched by the BBC in 2003 and presented by Andrew Neil and Jo Coburn. The programme takes an in-depth look at the daily goings on in Westminster and other areas across Britain and the world, and includes interviews with leading politicians and political commentators.

Politics Show 2003

The Politics Show was an hour long BBC One television political programme broadcast in the United Kingdom on Sundays, broadcasting usually at midday. The Politics Show was superseded by Sunday Politics, a weekend version of The Daily Politics, which retains some of the elements of the former show.

Campaign Politics

Campaign Politics is a Canadian television show which airs on CPAC during federal elections. The program features CPAC journalists and hosts profiling different Canadian electoral districts, including feature interviews with the major party candidates, campaign volunteers and voters in the district.

Politics Now

Politics Now was a Scottish political programme produced and broadcast by STV in northern and central Scotland. The programme, broadcast for 40 weeks of the year, on a Thursday evenings after the main ITV news, covered all of the big Political developments in Westminster, Brussels and Holyrood in detail. The programme was presented by STV's political editor Bernard Ponsonby with features reports and contributions from the rest of STV's political unit - Westminster correspondent Harry Smith, political correspondent Jamie Livingstone and freelance reporter David Torrance. The programme was originally presented by former political correspondent Michael Crow until his departure from the station in January 2009. The series was replaced in 2011 by Scotland Tonight, which broadcast Mondays to Thursdays on STV covering current affairs and politics.

Power & Politics

Power & Politics is a Canadian television news program focused on national politics that debuted October 26, 2009 on CBC News Network. Hosted by Evan Solomon Monday to Thursday, the show airs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Since fall 2011, other CBC political correspondents have hosted on Fridays, as CBC Radio One's The House, now also hosted by Solomon, is recorded on Fridays.

This Week in Politics 2006

This Week in Politics was a weekly political news and talk program on CNN. Originally started as This Week at War, the program focused on the week's news in regards to U.S.-involved wars, security in the United States, and terrorism. Due to much excitement over the 2008 presidential election season, the title was changed to This Week in Politics in January 2008. Airing on CNN/US, the program appeared at 6 p.m. ET Saturdays and 2 p.m. ET Sundays, hosted by Tom Foreman.

CBC News: Politics

CBC News: Politics was a Canadian political affairs television series which aired weekdays on CBC Newsworld, which was hosted by Don Newman. The show was discontinued and replaced with an additional hour of CBC News: Today upon Newman's retirement in 2009; in the fall, the new series Power & Politics, hosted by Evan Solomon, debuted.

The Week in Politics

The Week in Politics is an Irish news and current affairs programme broadcast on RTÉ One and RTÉ News Now. It is presented by Sean O'Rourke, occasionally by David McCullagh or Bryan Dobson. In its original format in 1996 it was hosted by Geraldine Harney and Seán Duignan. The programme reflects on the political week, with interviews and discussions. The majority of guests are politicians who are Teachta Dálaí or Irish Senators. The programme is broadcast live at noon on Sunday and is repeated throughout the day on RTÉ News Now and its traditional late night slot on RTÉ One. The programme moved from its late night slot to midday in January 2013. The programme also has reports from RTÉ News and Current Affairs reporters.

Get Up, Stand Up: The Story of Pop and Politics

Get Up, Stand Up: The Story of Pop and Politics is a 6x60 minutes documentary TV-series about the relationship between singers and politics in the USA, the UK, Germany and France from the 1960s until 2003. It was made in 2003 by Rudi Dolezal, Hannes Rossacher and Simon Witter as a joint production between German ZDF and the French-German culture channel Arte. It has since been showed by a number of other broadcasters in Europe, but also by Australia's ABC. The series feature an impressive list of interviewees, including Joan Baez, Tom Paxton, Bono, David Bowie, Johnny Cash, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Bob Dylan, Ice-T, Bob Geldof, Willie Nelson, Roger Waters, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Seeger, and Neil Young. A much shorter, two-hour version, called Get Up, Stand Up: The Story of Pop and Protest, aired on PBS in September 2005, hosted and narrated by co-founder of Public Enemy Chuck D. The PBS version focuses mainly on the American history of protest songs. The title is borrowed from the reggae protest song Get Up, Stand Up by Bob Marley and Peter Tosh.

PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton is a one-hour political talk show broadcast on MSNBC, hosted by Al Sharpton. It began on August 29, 2011 on MSNBC's weekday 6 PM slot, the first time that the slot had been occupied by a branded series since January 2011.
